The fire broke out in a warehouse building in Redlands, which is located east of Los Angeles County near San Bernardino at approximately 5:30 in the morning.
The California Transportation Company closed highways in nearby areas, while staff tried to extinguish towering flames.
By 7:30 am, helicopter video showed that most of the building's roof had been burned, exposing hundreds of feet of burned warehouse.
It is unclear what caused the fire.
