Shipping companies update requirements for goods exported to India

OOCL issued the bill of lading requirements for goods exported to India, which are summarized below for customer's convenience.

 

 

1. For goods arriving in India, one bill of lading shall not use both self-owned and non-self-owned boxes;

 

2. FCL/LCL is not accepted, and multiple consignees for one box are not accepted;

 

3. Do not accept the settlement of ocean freight and related surcharges in India;

 

4. The shipper shall not be an Indian company, and the shipper shall display the complete company name and address;

 

5. The consignee should be a local company in India, and the full company name and address should be displayed.If the consignee is To order or bank, then the notifier must be a local Company in India and the full company name and address should be displayed;If the goods need to be transshipped through Kolkata to Nepal or Bhutan, it is acceptable to accept the consignee as the company at the final destination and provide the corresponding permanent account number (PAN);

 

6. If the consignee or notifier on the bill of lading is the true importer, the corresponding import and export number (IEC) shall be provided;

 

7. The notifier's permanent account number (PAN) shall be provided;If the consignee and the notifier are both freight forwarders, the consignee's permanent account number (PAN) should also be provided;

 

8. For all goods exported to Navashiwa, India, the email address, IEC number and GSTIN of the true importer shall be provided if the consignee or notify party is the true importer or if the information of the true importer is shown elsewhere on the Bill of lading;

 

9. All goods exported to India and transshipped here must provide 6-digit HS Code.If multiple goods are mixed packed and different HS codes are involved, please send cargo information separately according to THE HS Code.

 

10. For all goods exported to India and transshipped from India to Nepal or Bhutan, please provide the total value in the Shipping Instruction for reporting to the customs at the port of destination.The value information will not be displayed on the bill of lading;

 

11. If the customer needs to arrange the transhipment of the goods from India to Nepal by himself, the relevant transhipment terms shall be shown on the bill of lading and a guarantee for timely delivery and return of the goods shall be provided;

 

12. If the goods are to be transported as dangerous goods, the provisions for transshipment to ICD Tughlakabad shall not be shown on the Bill of lading;

 

13. If the goods are Household Good or Personal effect cargo, transhipment to ICD Mulund shall not be accepted;

 

The customs at port of destination does not accept the import of the following goods into India, Mobiles and Mobile Accessories;Footwear; Ladies Bags; Cosmetics; Welded Mesh; Food items Viz. Candy & Milk Powder;

 

15, the port of destination customs do not accept the following goods imported to chennai, Novelties, the shipper declares commodity as Novelties - and stuffs any items), Games & Game accessories, Induction Stove and Cooker.
