Sunny Worldwide LogisticsIt is a logistics company with more than 20 years of transportation experience, specializing in markets such as Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, and Southeast Asia. It is more of a cargo owner than a cargo owner~

According to reports, after a 107-minute flight, the SF Airlines cargo plane B767 that took off from Shenzhen Baoan Airport landed smoothly on the west runway of Ezhou Huahu Airport.

This marks the official opening of Ezhou Huahu Airport, Asia's first professional cargo airport, and the official opening of Asia's first professional cargo hub and the world's fourth professional cargo hub.Goods are expected to achieve the goal of “delivering nationwide in one day and all over the world overnight”.

It is understood that SF Air Logistics will use Ezhou Huahu Airport as the hub and deploy 4 regional airports in the four directions of east, west, south, including Beijing, Shenzhen, Hangzhou and Chengdu to build a "14" development model.Promote Ezhou's transformation from an airport economy to a hub economy.

At the same time, this year Ezhou Huahu Airport will gradually open passenger routes from Ezhou to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Chongqing, Chengdu, Kunming, Qingdao, Ningbo and other cargo routes, and Ezhou to Shenzhen, Shanghai, Frankfurt, Osaka and other cargo routes.

Focusing mainly on freight and supplemented by passenger transport, Ezhou Huahu Airport is designed to meet the requirements of a passenger throughput of 1 million and a cargo and mail throughput of 2.45 million tons in 2025.

According to data released by the Civil Aviation Administration of China,In 2021, the country's civil aviation transport airports completed a cumulative cargo and mail throughput of 17.828 million tons.

Among the 248 airports, there are only 4 airports with an annual cargo and mail throughput of more than 1 million tons, including Shanghai Pudong Airport with 3.9826 million tons, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport with 2.0449 million tons, Shenzhen Bao'an Airport ranking third with 1.5683 million tons, and Beijing Capital Airport ranking third. The airport is 1.4013 million tons.

The airport will focus on cargo transportation, supplemented by passenger transportation.Comparing with the global express giant, Memphis International Airport, the hub of FedEx in the United States, landContinueWith about 10 international cargo routes and about 50 domestic routes, it has gradually become a first-class international air cargo hub and strives to create a new logistics highland in China and even the Asia-Pacific region.

At the same time, fully connect with the Optics Valley Science and Technology Innovation Corridor,Promote the development of the airport economy in Wuhan, Ezhou, Huanggang, Huangshi and other places within the Wuhan metropolitan area, and form industrial clusters and new economic growth poles.

Judging from international experience, as the express delivery industry gradually shifts from price competition to service quality competition, and from domestic market competition to international market competition, the self-owned air transportation network will be the key to future industry competition.

Therefore, in addition to SF Express, other express logistics companies are also stepping up their efforts to build their own aviation hubs, and the "air war" in the express delivery industry has intensified.

In August last year, the Jiaxing Airport reconstruction and expansion project was approved., YTO has signed a contract with the Jiaxing Municipal Government to build an aviation logistics hub. Hangzhou YTO Cargo Aviation Co., Ltd. has also begun to introduce long-range wide-body cargo aircraft this year.

Jiangsu Jingdong Cargo Airlines has also officially entered the document review stage., in January this year, a Boeing 737-800F passenger-converted cargo aircraft was delivered to JD Airlines, which is still in the preparation period.

JD.com will build a JD Logistics air cargo hub at Nantong Airport and plans to build a super airport in Wuhu.

As the "national team", China Postal Aviation Co., Ltd. currently operates 29 narrow-body cargo aircraft, but it also quietly released a tender announcement for Boeing 777F aircraft training through its partners not long ago. Obviously, it may become such a aircraft in the near future. Operator of a long-range wide-body cargo aircraft with strong carrying capacity.

However, it must be pointed out that compared with international air logistics giants that have established air cargo hubs around the world and have relatively complete freight route networks and cargo handling capabilities, domestic express delivery companies still have broad room to expand air cargo.
