On August 2, the 200,000-ton large bulk carrier Bulk Shenzhen collided with another 80,000-ton bulk carrier RB Lisa while piloting the Yangtze River.

At the time of the incident, the 208,000 dwt Bulk Shenzhen was loaded with 103,655 tons of iron ore cargo and went to Jiangyin Port. The ship was piloted by a pilot to the vicinity of Chongming Island and unfortunately, there was an accident. The collision caused partial damage to the bow area above the waterline of Bulk Shenzhen, but it was still able to navigate normally.

The other protagonist of the collision was the Marshall Islands-registered bulk carrier RB Lisa, the owner of which was RB BRITISH MARINE. At the time of the accident, the ship was heading to Singapore. The damage to the RB Lisa wheel is unknown.

Fortunately, the accident did not cause casualties or environmental pollution.

According to the AIS data display/data display provided by HiFleet, a well-known shipping data and ship position inquirer:

Bulk Shenzhen will be transferred to a nearby anchorage to further investigate the cause of the collision. As of 14:00 on August 3, the two ships were still moored near the collision site.
