The import and export between my country and the five Central Asian countries increased by nearly 40%

 

According to reports, China and the five Central Asian countries continue to deepen pragmatic economic and trade cooperation, and trade development has increased both in quantity and quality. According to China Customs statistics, the import and export between China and the five Central Asian countries in the first four months was 173.05 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 37.3%. It is noteworthy that in April, the monthly import and export scale between China and the five Central Asian countries exceeded 50 billion yuan for the first time, reaching 50.27 billion yuan.

 

New changes in 301 tariffs: the exemption period continues to be extended

 

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative has set an expiration date of May 15, 2023 for 81 of the 301 tariff exclusion clauses for health care-related Chinese products needed to respond to the new crown epidemic.

 

As it expires, USTR considers public comments submitted on the February 7, 2023 notice and recommendations from the Advisory Committee, the Interagency Section 301 Committee, and the White House COVID Response Team to provide additional provisions for the expiring waiver levies. 16-day transitional period, valid until May 31, 2023 (inclusive).

 

 

 

 

U.S. sea container routes to Asia return to normal

 

According to news on May 17, sea container routes from the United States to Asia are returning to normal from being blocked under the epidemic. Japan posts 21st straight month of trade deficit

Amazon Europe: Vine cannot be registered for bulky items

Euro zone industrial output falls more than expected

 

Industrial output in the euro zone was weaker than expected in March, reversing growth achieved so far this year, suggesting that pressure on investment from rising interest rates and higher inflation is hitting manufacturing.

 

The data showed that industrial output fell 4.1% month-on-month in March after rising 1.5% in February. The decline in industrial output was driven by capital goods (products used to develop other goods), which fell 15.4%. Other components also fell, with intermediate goods down 1.8 percent, energy down 0.9 percent and consumer nondurable goods down 0.8 percent. However, production of consumer durables rose 2.8%.

China to implement RCEP tariff concessions with the Philippines

 

According to news from the website of the Ministry of Finance of China on the 15th, China and the Philippines will mutually implement RCEP tariff concessions from June 2, 2023.

 

The ASEAN Secretariat, the custodian of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP), issued a notice that the Philippines has formally deposited its instrument of approval with the Secretary-General of ASEAN. According to the agreement, RCEP will come into effect for the Philippines on June 2, 2023.
