According to foreign media reports, the Spanish Medicines and Health Products Agency (AEMPS) recently ordered the recall and removal of several children's cosmetics sold on the Amazon website because of the illegal addition of preservatives. AEMPS is also warning consumers to stop using the recalled products immediately if they have them in their homes.
AEMPS pointed out that the recalled products violated the "European Cosmetic Regulations" and illegally added the following preservatives: containing bronopol (2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol), and The ingredient does not appear on the label; the concentration of phenoxyethanol is too high; and the mixed methylchloroisothiazolinone (MCI) and methylisothiazolinone (MI) preservatives banned in leave-on cosmetics.
