The full name of MSDS is Material Safety Data Sheet (Material Safety Data Sheet), known internationally as a chemical safety information card, which is used by chemical manufacturers and importers to clarify the physical and chemical properties of chemicals (such as pH value, flash point, flammability , reactivity, etc.) and a file of possible hazards to the user’s health (such as carcinogenicity, teratogenicity, etc.). MSDS is a comprehensive legal document on chemical characteristics provided by chemical production or sales enterprises to customers according to legal requirements. In order to ensure the accuracy and standardization of the report, it is possible to apply to a professional institution for compilation.

3. The second or third column of MSDS must be 100% complete;

4. If there is UN No. CLASS in the fourteenth column, it is dangerous goods;

5. The name of the production unit in the MSDS is consistent with the name of the production unit in the certificate of cargo transportation conditions. If not, explain the relationship between the two.

03 What are the uses of MSDS report

In China: For the domestic air and sea export business, each airline and shipping company has different regulations. Some products can be arranged for air and sea transportation based on the information reported by MSDS, but some airlines and shipping companies must follow "IMDG" and "IATA" According to the regulations to arrange air and sea transportation, at this time, in addition to providing the MSDS report, it is also necessary to provide the transportation identification report at the same time.

Overseas: When goods are sent from foreign regions to China, the MSDS report is the basis for evaluating the international transportation of this product. MSDS can help us know whether the imported product is classified as dangerous goods. At this time, it can be directly used as a customs clearance document.

In international logistics and shipping, MSDS report is like a passport, which is essential in the import and export transportation process of many countries.

Whether it is domestic trade or international trade in all countries in the world, the seller must provide legal documents describing the product. Because the legal documents of chemical management and trade are different in different countries and even states in the United States, some of them change every month. Therefore, it is recommended to apply to a professional organization for preparation. If the MSDS provided is incorrect or the information is incomplete, you will face legal responsibility.
