To avoid shortages of essential and critical commodities in the context of sanctions. The Eurasian Economic Union has increased the duty-free allowance for cross-border imported parcels from 200 euros to 1,000 euros since April 1 last year.
The Eurasian Economic Commission recently announced that it will extend the duty-free measures for personal imports of goods below 1,000 euros for half a year. It means that as of October 1 this year, the tax-free threshold for individuals to import goods by means of cross-border parcels is still 1,000 euros, with a weight limit of 31 kilograms. If the price of the goods exceeds 1,000 euros or the weight exceeds 31 kg, customs duties will be charged. The tariff amount is 15% of the price of the goods, and the tax paid for the overweight part is not less than 2 euros per kilogram.
The Brazilian government announced in the official gazette at the end of last month that by December 31, 2026, the production of solar panels will be included in the "Industrial Technology Development Plan" (PADIS).
In addition, the tax exemption program also covers the purchase of machinery, equipment, instruments, raw materials and software for the production of semiconductor electronic components or equipment.
