According to Reuters, Yemen's Houthi armed forces said on the 14th that the organization had launched two military operations against targets in the Gulf of Aden and the southern Israeli port city of Eilat.

Yemen's Houthi terror group said on Sunday it had conducted two military operations, one in the Gulf of Aden and one in Eilat, on Israel's southern tip.

Houthi armed forces spokesman Yahya Saraya said: "The Yemeni Armed Forces (Houthi armed forces) naval forces, drones and missile forces completed a joint operation to attack with ballistic missiles and drones in the Gulf of Aden Israeli vessel 'MSC Unific'.

He also said that the Houthis used drones to attack a series of Israeli military targets in the Eilat region of southern Israel.

The spokesman said the Houthis' latest action was in response to Israeli air strikes on Khan Younis on Saturday, according to the health ministry in Hamas-controlled Gaza. The attack killed at least 90 Palestinians and injured 300 others.

On the same day, the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) issued a statement stating that in the past 24 hours, Central Command troops successfully destroyedTwo Houthi armed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and an unmanned surface vessel (USV).

U.S. Central Command troops also successfully destroyed a Houthi drone in areas controlled by the Houthi armed forces in Yemen.

U.S. Central Command added: "It was determined that these systems pose an imminent threat to U.S., coalition forces, and commercial vessels in the area."

Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi rebels have been launching drone and missile attacks on shipping lanes in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden since November. The group said the actions were in solidarity with Palestinians affected by Israel's war in Gaza.

In dozens of attacks, the Houthis sank two ships, hijacked another and killed at least three sailors.

Currently, the chaotic situation in the Red Sea continues. The Ansar Allah movement (Houthi armed forces) in power in northern Yemen controls most of the Yemeni coast of the Red Sea.

It has previously declared that it supports Palestine and is prepared to attack all ships related to Israel, calling on other countries to withdraw their crews and stay away from such ships at sea.

At the same time, the Houthis stated that they would not affect the freedom of navigation in the region and would not touch other countries' ships. In the event of a possible attack,Some companies have decided to suspend shipping through the Red Sea.

Attacks by Houthi armed forces in the Red Sea have caused a sharp reduction in shipping traffic.

According to relevant data, the Red Sea region originally had an average daily shipping volume of about 500 ships and a cargo volume of 2 million tons. However, after the attack, shipping volume decreased by 85%, with the average daily shipping volume falling to about 75 ships, and the cargo volume remaining at only 30 Thousands of tons.

The originally bustling waterway has now become deserted. Many cargo ships have to choose detours to avoid dangerous areas. Detours mean longer voyages, higher fuel costs and longer transit times.

In the days to come, the trend of freight rates will still be full of challenges and opportunities.
