It is reported that on the evening of July 10, local time, a large container ship "ZEPHYR LUMOS" full of Chinese export goods collided with a bulk carrier named "GALAPAGOS" in the Strait of Malacca. The accident caused serious damage to the bulk carrier "GALAPAGOS", the cargo hold was punctured, and water and oil leakage occurred. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. The accident occurred 14.1 nautical miles southwest of Kuala Lumpur, when both ships were sailing west. According to reports, the steering system of the bulk carrier "GALAPAGOS" malfunctioned, making it unable to control the course, causing the nearby "ZEPHYR LUMOS" to evade and hit the starboard cargo area of "GALAPAGOS".
