Among them, in March, 1,488 China-Europe trains were operated, transporting 162,000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 31% and 52% respectively. Since May 2020, more than 1,000 trains have been operated in a single month for 35 consecutive months.

In the process of rapid growth in the number of China-Europe trains, due to the influence of various factors, its structure has undergone great changes.

The data since 2022 shows that the number of trains bound for Europe in China-Europe freight trains is decreasing, while the trains bound for Russia are increasing significantly. List the main destinations.

However, the China-Europe Railway Express may face the impact of shipping. Hao Panfeng, deputy secretary-general of the China Container Industry Association, said that due to factors such as the current drop in shipping prices, goods destined for Europe have begun to go back to shipping.

However, since last year, 80% of the China-Europe freight trains have come from China and Russia, and the freight volume of the China-Europe freight trains has not accounted for a large proportion of the total trade volume between China and Europe. Therefore, the current shipping situation has little impact on the volume of China-Europe freight trains.
