The short answer on door-to-door shipping between China and the Philippines

A door-to-door shipment from China to the Philippines is consolidated or containerized from your supplier, transported to Manila, Cebu or Davao, cleared through customs and delivered to the recipient's address. Sunny Worldwide Logistics (SZ) Limited, a freight forwarder based in China since 1998, operates this route from Shenzhen. Sea freight takes 10 to 16 days; Air freight takes 2 to 5 days.

Which door-to-door covers on Philippine Lane

In this route, door-to-door means that the Filipino buyer receives the cargo at his own premises and never has to hire a broker, visit a port or file a registration. The scope begins with collection at the supplier's factory, continues through export declaration in China, groupage or container loading, transport across the South China Sea, import and clearance at the customs office and ends with delivery by road to the final address.

Typical shipments include household goods, furniture, clothing, packaging materials, telephone accessories, consumer electronics, spare parts and battery-operated goods that are transported as Class 9 dangerous goods. We pick up in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Yiwu, Xiamen and Ningbo and deliver anywhere in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Three things do not fall into a standard offer: goods that require Philippine agency approval, personal items and balikbayan shipments that are subject to different customs regulations, and cargo that requires temperature screening.

Two numbers Filipino importers watch: customs and transit

Form E is the difference between 0% and full tariff.  Goods made in China enter the Philippines under the ASEAN-China Free Trade Area. If the rules of origin are met - typically a regional value content of 40 percent or a qualified change in tariff position - a valid Form E certificate of origin moves the entry from the normal MFN rate to the ACFTA preferential rate, which for many lines is 0 percent. The certificate must be submitted together with the import entry, not subsequently, and its description must match the invoice and packing list line by line.

PHP 10,000 is the marginal value.  Under the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act, goods valued at PHP 10,000 or less are exempt from duty and taxes. Once a shipment exceeds this limit, an import sales tax of 12 percent is due in addition to any customs duties that exceed the preferential rate. For this reason, breaking a large shipment into several small ones rarely saves money, and combining several small supplier orders into a single entry usually results in savings.

Preparations before your first booking

Accreditation comes first.  An importer registers with the customs office through the Account Management Office and activates an entry in the Client Profile Registration System. Without an active CPRS, the office will not accept transactions from the importer or the broker acting on its behalf. The accreditation periods have been extended to three years, so that renewal is no longer an annual task.

A licensed customs broker carries out the entry.  If the buyer does not have accreditation, a licensed broker will act as the consignee of record; We coordinate pre-arrival power of attorney with accredited brokers in Manila, Cebu and Davao.

Some products require government approval before shipping.  Food, cosmetics, medical devices, and radiation equipment go through the Food and Drug Administration; regulated standard products by the Bureau of Product Standards; Radio and telecommunications equipment by the National Telecommunications Commission. If authorization is required, it is worth obtaining this before the ship departs, as without this authorization no release can take place.

How the load moves day after day

Days 1 to 2 – Collection and group transport.  We pick up each supplier with our own trucks, then consolidate them at our Shenzhen factory or load them directly into a 20ft or 40ft container, weighing and photographing the load as it arrives.

Days 2 to 3 – export registration and booking.  The export entry is filed in China and space is confirmed on the trip or flight you approved. Shipping instructions and the draft consignment note will be sent to you for review before departure.

Days 3 to 13 – Transport back to Manila.  Direct sailings from southern China reach the port of Manila in about 10 to 16 days. Air shipments arrive at NAIA within 2 to 5 days. Form E and arrival documents will be sent in advance so that entry can be prepared before the ship docks.

Days 13 to 15 – Clearance by customs office.  The broker makes the entry, the preferential rate is claimed, customs and VAT are settled or charged to your account and the container is released. Simple entries within one to three working days; Those marked for scanning or scoring will take longer.

Days 15 to 17 – Delivery to your island.  Deliveries to Manila and Luzon are made by truck from the port. Cebu, Davao and other island destinations are connected by domestic feeder vessel or domestic flight and then by local truck to the receiver.

Why importers keep their Philippine cargoes with Sunny Worldwide Logistics (SZ) Limited

  • Groupage that travels on its own wheels.  Our freight forwarding company at Shenzhen Seaport picks up goods from multiple suppliers and puts them into a consolidated entry, so that buyers with many small factories avoid paying multiple customs entries.
  • The origin documents were checked before departure.  Goods descriptions, quantities and origin criteria on Form E are compared with the invoice and packing list while the cargo is still in China and correction is still possible.
  • A map of the first delivery.  Before moving the first container, new importers receive a written procedure with accreditation, broker appointment, approvals and payment modalities.
  • Island coverage instead of harbor coverage.  Feeder and domestic flight routes are booked with delivery partners that handle not only Metro Manila but Visayas and Mindanao addresses.
  • Single file owner from booking to signature.  The dealer who proposes your tariff also monitors receipt and delivery so that nothing is lost during a handover.

The company behind these shows

Sunny Worldwide Logistics (SZ) Limited is a freight forwarder headquartered in China, which has been doing business continuously since 1998, covering domestic and international freight movements. In Shenzhen, the company maintains a first-class office of 1,800 square meters together with its own shipping company at the seaport, so that collection, consolidation and entry are carried out in one hand.

Frequently asked questions

How long does door-to-door shipping from China to the Philippines take?  Sea freight from South China to Manila takes about 10 to 16 days, then one to three working days for clearance and one to two days for delivery. Allow 15 to 20 days door-to-door by sea and 5 to 8 days by air.

Does my company need Bureau of Customs accreditation to import?  Yes, to conduct business with the office. An importer registers through the Account Management Office and activates a CPRS record, which is now valid for three years. If you do not have accreditation, a licensed customs broker can act as the consignee of record instead.

What is a Form E and how much duty does it save?  Form E is the ACFTA Certificate of Origin for China-ASEAN trade. A valid certificate shifts access to the preferential rate, which is 0 percent for many product lines, instead of the standard MFN rate. It must be deposited with the import declaration and must match the invoice exactly.

What is the de minimis value for imports into the Philippines?  PHP 10,000. Shipments with a value below this value are exempt from customs duties and import sales tax. In addition, 12 percent VAT applies, plus customs duty on the value that does not fall under a preferential rate.

Can you deliver to Cebu, Davao or other islands outside of Manila?  Yes. Cargo is cleared in Manila, Cebu or Davao and then transported to the destination island via domestic feeder vessel or domestic flight, followed by local truck delivery. Visayas addresses typically take two to four days after posting, Mindanao three to five.

What documents do Philippine customs require?  A commercial invoice, packing list and original consignment note or air waybill form the core set, supplemented by a Form E claiming preference, the importer's accreditation and CPRS reference and any regulatory approvals applicable to the product.
