Regarding the specification notice of the cargo owner's own container (SOC box) booking
In order to ensure the safety of maritime navigation and cargo transportation, from now on, the shipping company ONE will make the following specifications for the booking of the cargo owner’s own container (SOC box):

1. SOC boxes that do not hold the International Container Safety Convention Certification Inspection Certificate (CSC) will not accept bookings;

1.1 Must provide SOC box nameplate (CSC);

1.2 Clarify whether the SOC box is a second-hand box;

1.3 If the ACEP on the SOC box nameplate (CSC) expires, please arrange the inspection and update the CSC by yourself, otherwise the shipment will be refused, as shown in the figure below:

1.4 Statement on the maintenance and inspection of the owner’s container:

When the container is sold, the buyer is responsible for maintaining the container in accordance with its own container maintenance and inspection procedures. Regardless of the condition of the container, all responsibility for the safety of the container is transferred from the seller to the buyer. Once the ownership of the container is transferred to the buyer, and the buyer wishes to use the container for international-29-transportation, the buyer must ensure compliance with CSC.

1) If the buyer has an approved ACEP, the buyer's ACEP reference number should be marked accordingly on the container.

2) If the buyer does not operate the approved ACEP, the container must be marked with the next inspection date (NED) in accordance with the requirements of the periodic inspection plan. The date of the next inspection should reflect the condition of the container, and qualified personnel at the place where the container is sold are responsible for determining the date of the next inspection that reflects this condition. Under normal circumstances, qualified personnel can issue an NED up to 30 months in advance, or an NED that allows one-way shipping of containers to a new destination, which usually takes 3 or 6 months.

By marking the container in this way, the cargo owner indicates that it is and will carry out inspection and maintenance in accordance with the requirements of CSC to ensure a high degree of personal safety during container loading, unloading, stacking and transportation.

2. The following is the updated list of embargoes for the SOC prefix. In the following table, if the SOC prefix is already in the restricted list of ONE, no matter whether the owner is ONE or not, the booking will not be accepted. If the SOC prefix is not in the restriction list of ONE, then we will accept the booking according to the owner's restriction.

3. It is forbidden to return the SOC box to the empty container depot of ONE after it is empty. Any storage fees, storage fees, management fees, etc., will be borne by the customer.

4. For the heating tank packing provided by the owner, if the control panel is located on the side of the SOC box, which prevents the crew from being able to approach the monitoring, the shipment is prohibited.

5. On OOCL ships, bookings for import and export SOC boxes between China and Pakistan will not be accepted.

The above must be strictly implemented. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to your business.
