On September 12, COSCO Shipping Special Transport Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as COSCO Shipping Special Transport) officially launched the South American West Express Express (Zhangjiagang-Qiankai), which is China's first grocery liner route to Qiankaigang directly.
As the first ship of this route, the 77,000-ton multi-purpose ship "GREEN SUAPE" will set sail for South America after loading more than 30,000 tons of energy storage cabinets, engineering equipment, tons of bags and round steel.
According to reports, this route is an important product of COSCO Shipping Special Transportation Service for the "Belt and Road". It inherits the excellent genes of South America's East BRICS Express, which is efficient, stable and green. It has strong timeliness, high cargo adaptability and significant regional service scale effect as highlights. It has formed functions and advantages with the South America's East BRICS Express Weekly Flight, and will build a more systematic and complete service network in South America.
COSCO Shipping Special Transportation said it will invest 62,000 dwt and 72,000 dwt series of new multi-purpose ships with an average age of 3 years on this route, paired with small, flexible multi-purpose ships and heavy gondolas, one flight per month, and can arrive at Qiankai Port in Peru as fast as 32 days, which is 5 days shorter than the average market range and can carry all categories of cargo such as engineering vehicles, major parts, containers and lithium battery energy storage cabinets.
It is expected that after the new route is opened, 500,000 tons of billable groceries will be shipped from Suzhou to the west coast of Central and South America to fill the gap in the regional "integrated" liner express flights, and radiate from Qiankai Port to neighboring countries and regions. It will effectively promote economic and trade exchanges between China and the western coastal countries of South America and build a new Yala land-sea channel in the new era.
South America's West Direct Express (Zhangjiagang-Qiankai) is officially launched
It is worth mentioning that ships serving this route will be equipped with a newly developed 40-foot composite frame box of COSCO Shipping Special Transport in October this year. Through the combination of new materials and new technologies, the contact between cargo loading and unloading machinery will be reduced, and transportation safety and quality will be improved in all aspects.
At the same time, COSCO Shipping Special Transport and Zhangjiagang jointly launched the "Special Transport-Zhangjiagang" basic port full-process worry-free service system covering four dimensions: pre-planning, safety and efficiency, digital and intelligent empowerment, and customer experience, and jointly created the "Zhangjiagang One Port Fitting" fast turnover model of "being is done when you berth, and leaving when you finish the goods", providing solid guarantees for the "Qiankai Express Airlines" liner service.
COSCO Shipping Special Transport further stated that it will also launch the "Yangtze River Branch Xiangjiang Branch" barge service in the future to achieve seamless connection from inland rivers to oceans. The supply of cargo in the Yangtze River Basin can be efficiently gathered to Zhangjiagang for sea, further extending maritime transportation services to both ends.
COSCO Shipping Special Transport Suzhou Company Zhangjiagang Operation Center unveiled
On the same day, the Zhangjiagang Operation Center of COSCO Shipping Suzhou Company was unveiled.
This layout complements the Suzhou Company of COSCO Shipping, which was established in April this year, the East China branch of COSCO Shipping, which was established in August, and the original Shanghai subsidiary of COSCO Shipping, which is further improved the professional, regional and localized service layout, significantly improve regional resource integration and customer service capabilities, and provide stronger support and guarantee for the vigorous development of maritime trade in the Yangtze River Delta region. It is also an important measure for COSCO Shipping to increase its strategic layout in East China and respond to the construction of the Yangtze River Delta integration and the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
