This ship, which was ordered in China in 2007, was only delivered in August this year!

The first is the multi-purpose ship named History Eduard as pictured above. According to the details of the ship provided by Ship News Network to Xinde Maritime Network, the delivery date of the 14,400dwt multi-purpose ship is August today (2022).

According to further information provided by the Ship News Network, the ship's construction shipyard is Jiangxi Jiangzhou United Shipbuilding. The order date was May 2007, and the keel was laid in October 2008. It was launched in 2013 and was originally scheduled for 2016. Delivered to BBC Chartering.

This means that in total, it took about 15 years from order placement to final delivery.
Of course, according to Xinde Maritime.com, the current owner of the ship is no longer the company that placed the order. This summer, the round was snapped up by an unidentified mystery buyer for a resale price of about million.

In early August, the ship's owner and ship management company was registered as Aldaza Holdings, and then on August 24, the ship was transferred to a ship owner and ship management company called History Ship Managers.
It is worth mentioning that the office addresses of the above two companies are both in Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico. Another source said that the company is preparing to put the ship into the Russian market.
In fact, the ship spent 11 days in the Russian port of Kastry at the end of September. Russian media, including Seanews.ru, reported that the ship unloaded some heavy cargo locally for the construction of gas and chemical projects in the Amur region.

Because it is reported that in September, shortly after the purchase of the above-mentioned History Eduard, the company named History Ship Managers also purchased two container ships and put them into the Russian market.

One of them is the 1,732TEU History Elizabeth (formerly known as Kalliroe, built in 2011), which is currently being chartered to Fesco, a Russian liner operating company, serving the Vladivostok-China route. The ship was sold by Greece's Cosmoship Management in July for .5 million, according to brokers.
The second container ship is the 712TEU F Lana (formerly Hakan Oba, built in 2005). The ship was transferred to History Ship Managers in early October.
